The Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, accompanied by Mr. Setiyo Wibowo, Director of Risk Management at PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk, conducted a site visit to review the waste recycling initiatives implemented as part of BTN’s ESG commitment during the BTN Jakarta International Marathon 2025, held in Jakarta on Sunday, 29 June 2025.
In this prestigious event, which attracted over 31,000 runners, BTN demonstrated its strong commitment to environmental stewardship by adopting a zero-waste event approach—ensuring that no waste generated was sent to landfills. The comprehensive waste management process included collection, segregation, composting, recycling, and upcycling efforts, reflecting the Bank’s dedication to responsible and sustainable event practices.
In parallel, BTN also launched its Running for Purpose program, a philanthropic initiative that channels donations to support a wide range of social and environmental causes, including education, public health, and ecosystem restoration—further reinforcing BTN’s role in creating long-term positive impact for communities and the environment.
