PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk once again marks a historic milestone as a pioneer of sustainable banking innovation in Indonesia with the launch of its groundbreaking program, “Pay Your Installments With Your Waste.” This initiative is the first of its kind in the country, offering customers the opportunity to reduce their mortgage payments through household waste management.
In collaboration with Rekosistem, BTN provides a smart and environmentally friendly solution for the community. Customers can deposit sorted and cleaned waste—such as plastic, cardboard, glass bottles, and used cooking oil—to be converted into Rekopoin, which is automatically credited to their BTN account and used to help pay their monthly mortgage installments.
The program has already been implemented in Bogor and will expand to 100 locations across Java by the end of 2026. BTN invites all customers, developers, and the wider public to join this movement, turning waste management into a simple step toward a greener, smarter, and more sustainable lifestyle.
BTN believes that waste management is not only a shared responsibility, but also an opportunity to contribute to a better future—for the planet, for the community, and for generations to come
