PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) reaffirms its commitment to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and supporting President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita development agenda through the implementation of its Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) programs. These initiatives address various aspects of societal welfare and sustainable development.
During the period of January to June 2025, BTN allocated a total of IDR 40.7 billion to TJSL programs. The funds were distributed across a range of sustainable development initiatives and national development priorities, including food security, economic empowerment, environmental conservation, governance enhancement, and support for the creation of sustainable cities and settlements.
TJSL forms an integral component of BTN’s sustainability strategy. The Bank recognizes that long-term business success is closely tied to its contribution to social and environmental progress. In addition to providing financial services, BTN positions itself as a proactive development partner committed to addressing social and economic challenges at the grassroots level.
In 2025, the largest allocation of TJSL funding was directed toward the food sector. BTN’s initiatives included the distribution of food aid, such as basic staple packages for flood victims in Pekalongan, support for affordable market programs in Banjarmasin, and provision of free lunches through partner organizations in Boyolali. BTN also supported a range of religious and social outreach programs across various regions, including Jakarta and its surrounding areas.
BTN’s commitment to economic empowerment is reflected in its initiatives aimed at promoting decent employment and inclusive economic growth. Key programs included the BTN Housingpreneur incubation initiative, support for MSME exhibitions in Solo, and provision of business equipment for small entrepreneurs in Central Sulawesi—demonstrating BTN’s role in driving community-level economic development.
