Aceh, January 9, 2026 – Female employees of PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN), united under the Srikandi BTN community, directly delivered humanitarian assistance to communities affected by the floods in Aceh Tamiang and surrounding areas. The aid was specifically focused on supporting mothers, children, and families as they continue their recovery process.
In collaboration with BTN Pension Fund, BTN Employees Welfare Foundation, and the BTN Labor Union, Srikandi BTN distributed hundreds of relief packages containing basic necessities, prayer kits, nutritional supplements for toddlers, children's toys, as well as clean water support through water tanker deliveries and the provision of bore wells as a long-term water supply solution.
Chairwoman of Srikandi BTN, Rahmayati, expressed her deep concern and solidarity with the people of Aceh Tamiang and other affected areas. She emphasized that the presence of BTN’s female employees was intended to provide both moral and material support to families striving to rebuild their lives.
“During the recovery period, mothers play a critical role in keeping their families resilient. As fellow mothers, we hope our presence can offer encouragement and support to women and children so they know they are not facing this difficult situation alone,” Rahmayati said while participating in the aid distribution activities in Aceh Tamiang on Friday (January 9).
In addition to distributing relief supplies, Srikandi BTN volunteers spent time engaging with affected families, offering emotional support, sharing conversations, and entertaining children at evacuation centers to help maintain a positive spirit amid challenging circumstances.
The assistance was distributed in close coordination with local government authorities, volunteers, and disaster response posts to ensure that aid reached the intended beneficiaries and families most in need.
Previously, BTN had provided a total of Rp13.17 billion in assistance for disaster victims across Sumatra and Aceh, including the establishment of a public kitchen in Aceh Tamiang. The Bank has also supported Danantara Indonesia’s recovery initiatives through the development of Danantara Housing as part of broader long-term recovery efforts in Aceh Tamiang.
