As a tangible form of BUMN’s presence across the country, BTN, in collaboration with Bakti BUMN Volunteers, has introduced food security and environmental conservation programs in Adang Jaya and Muara Adang Villages, located in Paser Regency, East Kalimantan.
On Friday, August 15, 2025, BTN and Bakti BUMN Volunteers carried out a series of social activities in these two remote villages. The initiative is part of the annual program organized by the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), which this year once again entrusted BTN as the main coordinator.
A total of 10 selected volunteers were deployed directly to the field to assist local communities through various programs, including integrated health services for toddlers, pregnant women, and the elderly, food security program through egg-laying chicken farming, improvements to school facilities and village infrastructure, and the planting of hundreds of mangrove seedlings to support environmental sustainability.
BTN Corporate Secretary, Ramon Armando, stated that this initiative aligns with the company’s commitment to improving community welfare. It also supports the implementation of the Social and Environmental Responsibility program initiated by the Ministry of BUMN.
The presence of volunteers was warmly welcomed by local residents and village officials. Saijo, Head of Adang Jaya Village, expressed his appreciation for the volunteers’ direct involvement in assisting his community. Meanwhile, Kurniansyah, Head of Muara Adang Village, stated that the program had a significant impact on local residents and expressed hope that such initiatives would continue on a sustainable basis.
