PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) has reaffirmed its prowess on the global stage by sweeping five prestigious accolades at the Asian Banking & Finance Awards 2026 in Singapore on Monday (July 6, 2026). This international recognition serves as compelling proof of BTN’s successful transformation from a specialized housing lender into a holistic financial solutions provider under the orchestration of Danantara Indonesia.
At the regional event, BTN secured top honors across five key categories: Indonesia Domestic Digital Transformation Bank of the Year, Indonesia Domestic Ecosystem Platform Initiative of the Year, Indonesia Domestic Digital MSME Initiative of the Year, Indonesia Domestic Technology & Operations Bank of the Year, and Ecosystem Initiative of the Year – Indonesia.
BTN Risk Management Director Setiyo Wibowo noted that the awards validate the comprehensive transformation underway across the organization. Rather than pursuing purely quantitative expansion, BTN ensures that every growth initiative is anchored by robust corporate governance, adaptive risk management, process digitization, and sustainability principles.
The bank's commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards earned it an MSCI ESG Rating AA, making BTN the first bank in Indonesia to achieve this distinction. Setiyo emphasized that sustainability has been fully integrated into BTN’s business strategy and prudent banking framework to safeguard long-term asset quality across all segments, including consumer, MSME, commercial, and corporate banking.
In tandem with fortified risk controls, BTN’s corporate and commercial business lines experienced significant acceleration. BTN Corporate Banking Director Helmy Afrisa Nugroho highlighted that the bank continues to expand its role as a primary financial partner within the national housing ecosystem value chain. By leveraging its strong foundation in property financing, BTN optimizes cash management, transaction banking, and supply chain financing to capture the economic multiplier effect of the housing sector.
The success of this "Beyond Mortgage" strategy is directly reflected in the bank's stellar financial performance. As of May 2026, BTN posted a remarkable 54.37 percent year-on-year surge in consolidated net profit to IDR 1.85 trillion, vastly outperforming the national banking industry's average profit growth of 4.96 percent.
This strong profitability was fueled by consolidated loans and financing, which rose 9.97 percent to IDR 403.06 trillion, and Third-Party Funds (DPK), which jumped 9.09 percent to IDR 433.95 trillion. BTN's growth rates in both lending and deposit accumulation consistently outpaced national banking industry averages of 8.62 percent and 4.29 percent, respectively.
Backed by a proven transformation track record and the strategic support of Danantara Indonesia, BTN remains confident in its ability to drive greater value creation for customers, stakeholders, and the broader national economy.
