The government under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto, through the Ministry of Housing and Settlements, the Public Housing Savings Management Agency (BP Tapera), and PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN), officially launched a subsidized housing financing program under a Sharia scheme for Da’i, Quran Teachers, Islamic Activists, and Employees of Islamic Organizations within the Indonesian Council of Ulama (MUI).
This program represents the Company's commitment to supporting the National Housing Program initiated by President Prabowo Subianto, as a tangible form of collaboration between the government, financial institutions, and religious organizations in providing accessible, decent, and affordable housing. It is expected that religious leaders and Islamic community figures across Indonesia will be able to own proper housing through a financing scheme that aligns with their values.
The program was inaugurated through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Chairman of MUI, K.H. M. Anwar Iskandar, BP Tapera Commissioner Heru Pudyo Nugroho, and President Director of BTN, Nixon L.P. Napitupulu. Through this partnership, the three parties will synergize in distributing the Tapera Financing Program and the Sharia-based Prosperous Home Ownership Loan (KPR Sejahtera), with an initial target of 5,000 subsidized housing units in 2025.
In addition to distributing subsidized housing financing, BTN will also provide banking services tailored to the needs of MUI's ecosystem to support financial operations and transactions more efficiently.
