On 26 August 2025, PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Huria Kristen Batak Protestan (HKBP), the largest Protestant Christian organization in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. The signing, held in Medan, North Sumatra, marks a strategic step in strengthening synergy between the financial sector and religious institutions.
Through this collaboration, BTN provides comprehensive and modern financial services for HKBP leaders and congregants. The partnership covers a wide range of financial products and solutions—from funding to financing—including a dedicated Savings Program for HKBP members, integrating worship activities, savings, and support for the church community.
This cooperation also reinforces BTN’s commitment to expanding digital financial services, ensuring easier access for HKBP congregants, pastors, and administrators across Indonesia. The initiative is expected to enhance financial literacy, improve community well-being, and contribute positively to sustainable national economic development
