PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) has tangibly manifested its social responsibility for the nation through a humanitarian sports initiative titled BTN Run 2026 for Charity. The vibrant event, held at the Beach City International Stadium (BCIS), Ancol, on Sunday (29/3), successfully gathered and distributed a fantastic total donation of IDR 760,000,000 for various community welfare programs.
Unlike conventional running events, this activity was designed as a collective movement where every step and active participation of the runners was directly converted into relief funds. BTN management established a specialized formula to calculate the donation based on two main field components: the number of participants successfully crossing the finish line, valued at IDR 76,000 per person, and the total distance completed, multiplied by IDR 7,600 per kilometer.
The selection of these iconic conversion figures was intentionally designed to align with the momentum of BTN's ongoing 76th Anniversary celebration. The accumulation of the runners' total achievements was then combined with contributions from BTN's Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, successfully reaching the final milestone of IDR 760 million.
Management ensures that all funds raised will be immediately distributed in a transparent manner to support the sustainable development agenda through three strategic pillars. The first pillar is religious affairs, which is allocated for the rehabilitation and enhancement of houses of worship. The second pillar focuses on the environment through the development of urban farming programs as a solution for local food security. Meanwhile, the third pillar is directed toward the social sector to provide business capital, training, and adaptive tools for individuals with disabilities operating within the MSME sector.
The full corporate backing for this concrete action for the nation was reflected in the presence of BTN's top management tier, who actively joined the front lines of the event. BTN President Director Nixon L.P. Napitupulu led the flag-off ceremony, accompanied by Operations Director I Nyoman Sugiri Yasa, Risk Management Director Setiyo Wibowo, and SEVP Digital Business Thomas Wahyudi.
