PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) continues to accelerate financial literacy penetration across the education sector through its flagship BTN Goes To Campus 2026 initiative. Operating through its Palangka Raya Branch, the state-owned lender officially forged a strategic partnership with the Muara Teweh College of Economics (STIE Muara Teweh) in North Barito, Central Kalimantan, on Friday (July 24, 2026).
The collaboration was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) designed to solidify students' financial foundations while driving ecosystem digitization across the campus. The event was led directly by BTN Palangka Raya Branch Manager Alexius Afrido Sitinjak, alongside STIE Muara Teweh Chairperson Dr. Hj. Sofia and North Barito Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) Commission III Chairman Dr. H. Tajeri.
This milestone underscores BTN's ongoing commitment to serving as a strategic partner in higher education. Rather than positioning itself merely as a conventional banking service provider, BTN is focused on building long-term alliances that deliver tangible value to the academic community.
Demonstrating its hands-on approach to financial education, BTN deployed a team of industry professionals to conduct a comprehensive briefing on the national financial landscape. Banking practitioners outlined the vital roles of key regulatory institutions, including Bank Indonesia (BI), the Financial Services Authority (OJK), and the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS). Additionally, BTN actively equipped students with sound financial management principles, highlighted the importance of secure saving habits, and raised awareness about illegal investment schemes offering unrealistic returns.
To maximize engagement, BTN delivered the literacy session through an interactive learning format, incorporating group-based financial management simulations and competitive quizzes featuring electronics and shopping vouchers as prizes.
BTN’s proactive initiative earned high praise from the STIE Muara Teweh academic community, which commended the bank’s vital role in offering preventive protection against financial fraud while accelerating the integration of modern banking solutions across higher education campuses.
